D.C. Beer Week, in it’s third installment this year, is bigger than ever, with more than 150 events (and the list grows daily). But after seeing some 250 eager participants at the kick-off event last night, a beer tasting and dinner cruise on the Potomac aboard the Odyssey, I have little doubt that most events will fill up quickly again this year.

The lineup includes a wealth of happy hours, tap takeovers, brewer meet and greets, pairing dinners, and guided tasting classes. Some of the more unique events include an all-about-beer trivia night Tuesday at Bread and Brew, a Flying Dog Brewing Company sponsored hole-in-one contest at  H Street Country Club on Thursday, and Saturday’s hot dog eating championship with Schmalz Brewing Company at Star and Shamrock. Check out this year’s full calendar after the jump.

My D.C. Beer Events Calendar below has all the details for confirmed events. The Washington City Paper event page is a also good place to scroll through events by day. The official DC Beer Week site is hosted by the crew at DCBeer.com this year, and they have a neato map so events can be viewed by neighborhood. For more updates about D.C. Beer Week 2011, follow the festivities on Facebook and Twitter.
