Chuck Brown used to pad his appointments by 20 minutes on either end—whether it was a public performance, a quick lunch, or a doctor’s appointment. Everywhere he went, people stopped him and asked to have a picture taken with him. And Brown never turned down a request. He was, quite possibly, the most photographed man in D.C.
As D.C. mourned, we asked readers to send us their quickly snapped pictures—at concerts, at sporting events, on the street—standing next to Brown. No surprise: In each and every shot, he’s flashing the same smile.
