Finally, an answer to the question, “What would it be like if, instead of running for mayor, Muriel Bowser was a ventriloquist who operated remarkably lifelike puppets?”

It might look a little something like this new TV ad from Bowser’s campaign, which features Bowser’s voice coming out of the mouths of a variety of people. As the ad goes on, Bowser talks about growing up in the District, along with nods to her ethics and free bus rides for students bills. As the ad closes, a banner notes her endorsement from Barack Obama.

The ad will start airing late this afternoon, according to campaign spokesman Joaquin McPeek. Considering Bowser’s $500,000 cash advantage on rival David Catania, expect to see a lot of it.
