To reveal the rhythmatist, click on the face you suspect belongs to the tub-thumper. (Be advised that the "Theory of Beards" is unproven.) For those who have become expert at picking the stick-slinger, we offer a fresh challenge: After you spot the drummer, tell us who the band is. Stylin' Washington City Paper Web T-shirts to the cleverest. LAST WEEK'S MYSTERY BAND: Our dear friend and Queen of the Scene Aparna Mohan wrote in from the Big Apple, where, sadly, she recently relocated: "Hey, it's that band JUNIPER LANE. (Everyone at my old job had a big crush on Vivian....)" Well, who doesn't? Typically, dear Aparnawho was the leading light of cable's Megahertz showalso offered this behind-the-scenes nugget of news: "When they were on Megahertz, we were all impressed because one of the band members' moms was in the audience! Yeah!" Yeah, indeed, and true to form, this time dad is in the house. Senior Pasa wants us to know that drummer/son Eddie was "an honor student of Gonzaga High School and soon to finish his college degree." Way to go, Eddie. And thanks, Dad. In fact, this was quite the family affair, with Mireya and Teresita Pasa also supporting their sibling. Andy Charest describes the band as "one of NoVa's most unique and talented bands," and calls Eddie "a multiinstrumentalist of the highest degree and a pretty good guy, as well." We're convinced. Also, because Jeff Fasceski wrote in to say, "I saw him playing guitar and singing a short while ago at an open mic night in Alexandria. I was shocked to see a drummer be able to do two things at once!!" It does happen, Jeff. Other Eddie and Juniper Lane supporters include Robin Raah, Justin Coleman, Aimee Blanchard, Anastasia Loyco, Sipowicz, Nazdar Dizeyee, Nick Geisinger, J Caldwell, Adam Sekel, Wilson Bull, Amy Mcdavitt, Sydney838, Dean, Joe Giganti, and Stephen Claughton.
