The weekend dim sum/sushi/Chinese buffet hasn't changed much since I started coming in the '70s, but the decor has been refreshed. Soothing solid colors, soft lighting, framed prints. The buffet offers variety in each category: several kinds of sushi rolls, two soups, half a dozen steamed and fried dumplings, cucumber, seaweed, and sweet-sour cabbage salads, red-cooked eggs, Szechuan chicken wings, salted shrimp, mussels, lo mein, Cantonese mixed vegetables, white and fried rice, orange slices and jello for dessert. All good, nothing noteworthy except General Tso's chicken, which kept its crunch in the chafing dish, and had a nicely balanced sweet-hot sauce. A good introduction for dim sum rookies, great value, and a mellow repast for the morning after.
