I've only eaten here once, but it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food was excellent, but what I appreciated most was the service -- professional, friendly, understated, unpretentious. This is a lovely place to have a special occasion meal. You won't regret the big bill.

We celebrated Christmas early before going home to a family get together in NY. We had the table for two right next to the fireplace - very romantic! The foie gras appetizer was the best we've had in this area. The service was attentive and friendly. Definitely a great place for special occasions.

What a divine meal. The drive to the restaurant was interesting - it seems to rest in the midst of a sprawling neighborhood. But the grounds are quaint and the interior is like being in someone's house. I highly recommend the poached lobster with lump crab meat. Pure decadence at its finest. The wait staff was friendly and appropriately attentive. We truly enjoyed this once a year meal. It's definitely a bank breaker.

This was a birthday dinner and quite enjoyable. The poached lobster is excellent, but the Alsatian feast was not as good as expected. A little pricey, but a nice meal. Order a souffle!

After many visits to this venerable place, it is still the culinary version of "the perfect storm." Both the food and service continues to be consistantly excellent, and the location makes you feel as if you really were in an hunting lodge in Alsace, France.
