Great food, but a bit too Americanized with some of the sauces being too heavy and overly sweet. Many of the dishes are lacking in Thai spices. Service was very sincere and well coordinated and contributed to the overall warmth of the experience.

Our local neighborhood restaurant, so I can say with confidence that it's consistently excellent. The pad thai is the best I've ever had, the soft shell crabs are always well done, and the various hot curries and other entrees are superb. The only complaint I have after at least 100 meals here is that the menu should change every once in a while. The seasoning has toned down just a touch for American tastes since it first opened, but that's okay with me.

The specialty here is soft shell crabs. Choose from 12 different sauces and you get two succulent soft shells. Went with my family last night. We had four different orders. all very different and all very good. The crabs are thick and meaty. The sauces are all good. I prefer the ones with less to them so I get the flavor of the crabs. I also shared an order or potporri fried rice that has shrimp, scallops, conch and spices. It was a great dish. Soft Shells are in season in June and Crystal Thai does it right!
Other dishes there are above average compared to other Thai restaurants in the area. Service was good and attentive. We even had an infant with us and that caused no problems.
For desert we had mango and sticky rice. It was excellent

Service was slow even though the lunch crowd was not that big. One entree was served before the
appetizer arrived and the other entree had to be asked about before it was served. Portions most times seem to be smaller than in other Thai places.

The variety of lunch combination specials is good and they are priced fairly.
