Saturday nights here are great. All the Thai kids in the area come here to karaoke and party, so the food is authentic and so is the vibe.

Another update. This restaurant has changed hands again and is now going for an edgy feel, with hardcore blaring away and a violent bloody Fox ultimate fighting movie on the big screen TV the night we were there. Unfortunately, although the food tasted pretty good (especially if you like it when things described on the menu as steamed come out fried), it has been almost entirely deprived of any Thai flavor and spice.
What warrants a big "STAY AWAY" warning, however, is that the restaurant's new young owners openly tried to cheat us. The bill was significantly higher than the prices on the menu and the owner told us the menu was mistaken and the beer prices were higher than the menu said. Pretty annoying (especially since the beers ended up being $5 each).
Good lesson in understanding that restaurants change. What was once one of the great unknown restaurants in the DC area is now a bland rip-off joint. Stay away.
What's really too bad is that there is a brilliant Thai chef unemployed somewhere in northern Virginia.

This was once a memorable restaurant, but it never got popular and the owners laid off the cook and started doing the cooking themselves. Now it's in the bottom quartile of the millions of Thai restaurants in the DC area. A real shame.

This is a great underrated Thai restaurant. Sometimes I find myself daydreaming about their mussels. Not a single mediocre meal in 40+ visits. The chef can blast you away with firepower, so if heat is an issue mention it to your waitress.

I have to admit, this is one of those restaurants that I like to keep a secret. It's so good, I don't want others to know about it! But that would be too selfish woudln't it? Bangkok Siam has the most authentic Thai food. If you like spicy, come here! Most Thai restaurants are too "Americanized" for my taste buds, but Bangkok hits the spot. If you love Thai and if you love it spicy, definitely check this one out! The service is great. The waitresses always remember the small things making our visits even better!
