I drive from Mid Michigan to eat here. I have Turkish family, and visit Turkey a lot. This is simply the best Turkish restaurant I've found.
The second time I ate there I wanted the Döner kebab, but that's only Friday and Saturday night. They gave me a free dessert. The third time I ate there (after 5pm Friday, when I was told Döner kebab would be ready), they were running late - so they gave my wife and I free starters. I like service like that.

can you get tired of middle eastern food?

Definitely authentic, albeit standard, Mediterranean fare. The hummus is a must try, as is the chicken balti. This will become one of your local favorites.

Wow. Great hangout, fantastic atmosphere, and DIRT CHEAP. Go for the appetizer platter for 2, at 10 bucks, its a steal and will fill you up. The lentil soup is absolutely sublime; its the perfect warmup on a chilly day.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times. I have actually driven 375 miles to bring other people to experience the food. Of course I coaxed them into it by telling them we were actually going to visit Washington D.C. I have lived in Turkey and this is as close as it can get. I wish I lived closer to this restaurant, I would make it a point to eat there twice a week for the rest of my life. This is, without a doubt, my favorite restaurant in the world. I recomend the iskendar kabab! (served only on Friday and Saturday).

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. When I have visitors from out of town, I take them here becuase I know we can feast (appetizers, drinks, entrees, etc) and feel like we got a good deal. Do not mistake this with the carry out Attila’s next door. The place is never busy but don't let that bother you. The food here is excellent and the appetizer for two is plentiful and the food always changes. Go on a weekend to experience their donor kabob entree with rice. This is a great treat. Entrees do not go over 13 dollars and most appetizers are just 5. The staff is very friendly.

Great food and cheap. I would recommend for lunch. Small and intimate take out place, very casual and the staff is friendly. No ambience becuase this is a take out place.
