I was very underwhelmed with my Bourbon experience. I went in with positive expectations since I heard good things and bourbon is my drink of choice. However other than the great selection of bourbon, I found the rest of my experience lacking. The service is horrible, you walk into the place and there is no hostess, the downstairs bartenders just stared with blank looks without a greeting, we walked upstairs to find it nearly empty, again no help, and then walked back downstairs and finally just sat at an open table. When a server finally did come over to us she was very pleasant. The food is good but overpriced and unless you get a huge bowl of fried potatoes the portions aren't great. Stay away from the "angus steak and cheese" it was tiny and is no substitute for a cheese steak. All in all I would not recommend to friends unless you are only stopping in for 1 drink on the way to somewhere better.

The food is delicious! My favorite is the Bourbon French Toast on the brunch menu and the BLT or juicy burgers on the dinner menu. The bourbon menu is extensive and the staff are knowledgeable about the different types. Since it's a bar, I wouldn't suggest bringing kids, but the patio is great for drinking and hanging out. The waitresses are hot, and friendly, and bring you drinks quickly, even when the place is packed. I highly recommend going and tasting some good bourbon.

Bourbon is fun. Full bourbon menu but also tons of beers on tap and full bar. The food is also good. I recommend any version of the fries (seasoned, plain, curly, waffle or shoestring). I also recommend the spinach salad with avacodo and chevre as well, the grilled cheese and tomato soup, and the burgers. Good, friendly, helpful service. (Ask for Carla, she is great).

Bourbon is a much needed neighborhood bar and grill in Glover Park. The name tells you what their bar's claim to fame is, but the food is the best "bar food" in town. I had a BLT, with thick apple-wood smoked bacon, cripsy lettuce, just a hint of mayo and perfectly toasted bread. The accompaniment of waffle fries - cripy on the outside and melt in your mouth on the inside - were a treat! All that for under $10 and a wine and beer list that is one of the best in town. Cheers!

Back at Bourbons again...I like the street-side & outdoor atmosphere! Food was good (sister had salad w/ chicken) I had the sweet potato chips for a snack (great menu item, good portion size...though mine were a bit gummy/stale, but I hope to try them again!). I always have reservations on the service here, but once they notice you (which seems to take a bit of time on a busy night, though it seems they have plenty of staff on hand to cover?) the staff is pretty friendly (smiley gal with funky red ring?) and good to go.

Arrived at Bourbon a little before 11:30 AM on Sunday morning - they open at 11:30. Had 3 in our party and we were welcomed in by the staff who was still setting up. The menus and drinks came very fast and we were very happy with our high table by the open front doors. The food was excellent, however, I thought the portions were a little small. I got scrambled eggs with Pepper Jack, crab and avocado and a side of buttered wheat bread. It was very good but I was still hungry after. Then again, there is no sense in overstuffing yourself on Sundays. I was nicely full although I could've eaten more.
Our waitress was adorable and very nice and allowed us to enjoy just sitting there (no pressure to leave too quickly) listening to the eclectic mix of music - James Brown, Johnny Cash, Billie Holiday, Motown, Funk, whatever. We were surrounded by other folks quietly talking, reading the paper, or just sitting outside people watching in their dark sunglasses.
Bourbon has a great beer selection and an even better lunch and dinner menu - I suggest the Ostrich burger. Very tasty, high in protein and low in fat. Tastes like beef too.
I can't wait to go back!

I've been to Bourbon's before, and I have to say the service when I ordered food in the past wasn't so good. This particular night it was great, maybe because it was a Monday? But here's hoping that's not the case. Their crab cake sandwich which is flattened like a pancake on purpose it really delicious! However they make it, with the thick toasted bread and topped with fresh tomato - it seems to be great everytime! Now if we can just get one more trendy bar/place like this in Glover Park we'd be really hoppin'.

I think Bourbon is still trying to work out an identity. You enter into the bar area and then, if you know enough about the place, you know to go upstairs for dinner.
Catfish sandwich was good, but not cooked appropriately. Medium rare is great for tuna, but not for fried catfish.
The server was very nice, but I never got the feeling that the staff in general were too excited about having dinner guests.
