Great beer selection (love the cans!) and the burgers are among the best in DC.

Food is ok but mostly boring. A great place for a beer tho, your bartender/server usually has a good recommendation and they often add new brews to the menu.

The place is red.

I wouldn't say this place is divey. More cozy. And very red.

When getting together with friends for drinks, it's always more fun to have some group activities, like Connect Four or Jenga. Pair that with cheap beer, you got yourself a fine, budget-friendly evening.

The line for the bathroom is alarming, so think ahead!

The beers are cheap, and the food is very affordable, not to mention GOOD. Amazingly, there are vegetarian, wholesome options available, and they serve food late every night which is a major plus. I'm happy to go there not just to eat and drink, but to pull a board game off the shelf and play or watch a movie projecting on the wall!

DC needs more bars like this. One per neighborhood, at least. It's got every thing you need: comfortable atmosphere, good music, good beer, and really nice staff. It's kinda like hanging out and drinking at home, but with much better selection and much less depression.

I went on a Saturday night and was able to sit down right away with a party of four. Service was extremely attentive without being overbearing, which meant that we never sat with an empty can. The place was pretty packed by the time we left at midnight, but never felt overly so.

We ate, and the fried macaroni and cheese was awesome. The burger was good, but none of the food was anything to make the trip for. You're basically heading here to chat with friends and down some beers. If that's what you're in for, you won't be disappointed.

Midwesterners will particularly like the feel. It reminds me of George's in Iowa City or the old City Bar in Madison but with a younger, less lung-cancered crowd. Make sure to visit the web site to see the beers they have in cans. The biggest plus of the beers in cans is the price: we ate and drank plenty for about $20 person, due largely to the $4 beers.

Crunchy sweet potato fries, veggie burgers the way you want them, tons of dark and light ales. (Albeit in cans, but VERY cheap.) Exceptionally friendly owners/staff. Only downside is that it's starting to get crowded weekend nights, and could do with a few more vegan options for this rater.
