Very pleasant spot for lunch. Enjoyed the shrimp bisque but would have liked to have seen a shrimp garnish. The Salmon Salad Nicoise was presented nicely. Every enjoyed their choices.
I would try this restaurant again.
The restaurant and the bar are in different rooms. The restaurant is in a long, rectangular room that is dark, sparsely decorated, and notably lacking in textiles or drapes. The result is an acoustically alive room. Conversations were strained.
We all ordered either grilled halibut or waluu. The waiter suggested a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine. We noted that all had ordered fish, so we ordered bottles of torontes and chardonnay. The wine list had some interesting choices; but the markup seemed high (more than 300%). The bottles were well chilled; but there were no ice buckets (or equivalents) to keep them cold. All the food arrived at the same time, and was well presented. We all agreed the food was very good, and prepared as ordered. However, the caesar salad was a disappointment. It consisted of a few leaves of romaine, croutons, dressing, and a single white anchovy. Service was excellent. We were served warm, fresh bread, and ice water. No water glass was permitted to drain below the half-way level.
