Having just visited Peru this past October, my boyfriend and I were really looking forward to the Andean cooking. Although the ceviche, pisco sours and Peruvian entrees were very good, it still didn't stack up and that's mostly due to the lack of fresh ingredients in our country. It was a real shame too because we were really looking forward to it. Having said that, the ceviche was excellent, but the portion was really small for the price. My entree the seco de carne, was extremely tender and flavorful and the piscos were done Americana style, which is to add sugar to the drink. But at the end of the day it was a cool ambiance and the food was tasty, so we'd probably go back, but wouldn't make it one of our favorite haunts and definitely not a silver spring destination.

My friend and I went to Ceviche because we were curious about the restaurant's namesake. This being our first experience we had lots of questions, and our waitress was so patient and answered all of our questions. I'm not sure I like ceviche, but that only speaks to my personal taste and not the restaurant. For my entree I ordered a salmon dish, and it was delicious.

Ceviche had fantastic food, strong and tasty (yet very expensive) Latin drinks, and service that tilted to the slow side. All in all, it was a fantastic meal and it's a great addition to the Downtown Silver Spring dining scene. The aji de camarones was described by my wife as one of the best shrimp dishes she's ever had, and my aji de gallina featured pulled chicken that melted in my mouth, truly complemented by the sauce, rice, cheese, and cilantro that flanked it. Drinks run $8.75, but you wouldn't know that since they don't publish the prices on the menu. However, one drink packs quite a punch. Fantastic meal.

I would immediately recommend and frequent this restaurant, Ceviche. My fiancée and I visited Ceviche on Valentine's Day (without reservations) and we were greeted and seated with smiling faces. There weren't any available slots due to the Love Bug Holiday, however, management made every arrangement to have us seated quickly.
Do not miss tasting the ceviche, it's a Latin classic. Ordered two entrees and the meals were abundant with numerous herbs and spices, which were fresh. The interior of the restaurant is nice and mellow, and somewhat romantic. Tiny candle cylinders lit the intimate dining area and balance nicely with the reddish wall color. Recorded music was played and served as the soundtrack for the evening; the music wasn't overly loud - but just right.
If you like sea food (fish, shrimp and etc) this is a place to definitely visit. Something different, something Fresh!

The food was awesome. In particular, the ceviche, appropriately enough, was one of the best things I've ever tasted. There are a couple of reasons for the less than perfect rating, however. First of all, the servers were very nice once located, but getting someone's attention always took forever. Second, the music, once it started around 7:30 pm or so, was so loud I could barely hear myself think, much less keep up a conversation.

This is a nice addition to the plethora of dining options in downtown Silver Spring. We went right when they opened and again late one night around Christmas, so the crowds were light. The first time they had a duo playing, and it was perfect. Of course we got ceviche. The coconut with fish was incredible. The classic tuna was just as good. It's a good happy hour/late night snack place.
