A budding metropolitan franchise, Booeymonger offers dapper deli creations in a dress-down atmosphere. Build-your-own afficianados can assemble a signature masterpiece by picking a protein base -- roast beef, pastrami, hickory smoked ham, turkey breast, and various burger options are just some of the meaty foundations to choose from -- and then jazzing it up with assorted toppings (hot peppers add instant pizzazz, russian dressing conveys a cool factor, while fresh avocado injects Carribbean flare), fresh cheeses (pile it high with staples like swiss, muenster, or provolone, or go crazy with some melted brie or a tangy feta), all laid out on the baked good of your choosing (the NY rye is solid, a pesto tortilla provides a wrap with 'tude). On the run types can also go the specialty route, selecting from a menu featuring such creative combos as the Manhattan (lightly grilled roast beef, spinach, bacon and cheddar, tucked into a crusty baguette), the Georgetowner (sliced turkey, fresh alfalfa sprouts, and thin slices of avocado, also on a baguettte) or the intriguing Miami burger (smoked salmon topped with onions, tomato and lettuce, all draped across a cream cheese laden bagel). The Ballston locale also capitalizes on its proximity to Marymount by offering college-age perks (a flash of your student ID gets patrons a free 20oz soda), whereas older Arlingtonians can enjoy an outdoor seating plaza ideal for a lazy afternoon of people watching.

Good sandwiches at reasonable prices. And they have a huge deli menu, which is helpful for those days when you're in a stupor and not sure what you want. I wish they could do breakfast all day, though - it's their best meal.
