The atmosphere is lively and the food is consistent.
El Salvadoran flavor and zest in everything they offer. The Salsa gets your taste buds salivating for more, and as soon as your order arrives you realize that you came here for something good. This place is a must do for anyone visiting DC and Adams Morgan. The staff is very friendly and warm, and a gracious welcome every time.
One of my favorite appetizers is the Nachos, with half beef and half chicken. Both are seasoned very well with tantalize your tongue begging for more. No matter what you order you'll find the food solidly good and the presentation is always great. The vegetarian burrito is wonderful, with a medley of wonderful garden vegetables.

great food, one of my favorite Papusa spots and they also serve the delicious horchata drink. the margaritas aren't bad either! this georgia ave location also feature an upstairs art gallery and on certain nights there will be live music to entertain as well. the music is also very lively...a great mix of electronic, hip hop and latin.

Even though there's one in Adams Morgan, its worth the trip up Georgia Ave, which is less crowded and has an outdoor wooden deck. We ordered the house appetizer platter and a pitcher of their stiff margaritas, and were surprised that the platter was a meal in itself. Perfectly toasted quesadillas, some of the freshest guacamole I've had recently. The menu is broad and everything looks good, but I finally settled on the spinach enchilada, which couldn't have been better. Portions are generous -- I didn't make it far into my entree. But we both agreed that we look forward to visiting again.

There's free wi-fi
and a nice patio.
Great food and drinks.
The menu is HUGE.
We went for happy hour.
10 bux for a pitcher of margaritas!
Dollar pupusas and two dollar taquitos!
They have meeting/banquet rooms for private parties.
I dug the music even tho it went from like
hiphop to triphop to latin rock and latin hiphop to jungle to cumbia to soul..
The staff was friendly, too.
There's also free parking.

The Georgia Ave location is very homey and it was obvious that the waitstaff knew a lot of the patrons. They cheerily ignored my toddler son as he tossed tortilla chips on the floor and swung by regularly to talk to him. I had the chicken enchiladas and the chicken was fresh and tender but not over cooked; the sauce was delicious; the cheese was a perfectly mild blend. We asked for a garden salad before the meal and unlike other Spanish restaurants were the salads can be fairly paltry, we received a nice, fresh one. Both my husband and I were very impressed and would definitely go back!

Great restaurant-- it's the third time we've ben there. Love to eat on the patio. It's nondescript, but the corner is calmer than it seems from the street so it makes a good backdrop to dinner. Portions are very generous, and the waitstaff was friendly and kept refilling our beverages-- what a change for this area! We'll go back for sure.
