Location makes this place worth visiting and the ambiance was excellent! The food was good enough but the prices were a tad high for what we got! Overall, a good date place being on the Circle but not a place where you would go often for a good value for your money!

Dragon Fly is an excellent choice for a sushi happy hour. Five sushi rolls are offered for $4.00. I expected small, mediocre sushi rolls, but was surprised to taste some of the best sushi I've had in a while, plus HUGE portions (8 pieces). The avocado and eel roll was a hit at the table. Oh, and those pink drinks...please keep 'em rolling at $4.00 a pop. Try the watermelon martini.

The service was excellent. The decor was sleek, but not intimidating. Loved it.

It's unfortunate that sushi is one of those things that pushes up a bill so quickly. It definitely happened to my friends and I while we were at Dragonfly. The reason for the huge bill was threefold, we were more than happy to hang around watching the anime, and enjoying the music, the food was great and the drinks were amazing. Two people enjoyed saki bombs while the others experimented with the cocktails. Advice--try the lychee martini.

The service was horrible. The host would hardly look me in the eye, and never smiled once. There was NO customer service, they acted like they were doing me a huge favor by letting me in the restaurant. They treated me like I was less than them, even though I was about to spend big bucks at their restaurant. I am a very generous tipper, and they missed out. After the host was so rude to me, even though I DID have a reservation, I decided not to eat there. I will NEVER be treated like that again.

I did not have good expectations of Dragonfly as a restaurant before going there for the first time, I guess because I was a little intimidated by the frosted-glass exterior. I thought the atmosphere would be too clubby and it would be really hard to get service, let alone decent sushi. But thankfully, I was wrong on all counts. The staff was attentive, super friendly, and very good at selling drinks (!), and the sushi was quite good--fresh and well-assembled. As for the atmosphere...it seemed to me more like a futuristic, minimalist pub than a club (although I haven't been there on a weekend). Be prepared to practically yell your conversations, though, because it does get a little loud with all the hard surfaces. Also, bring a lot of extra cash, or else your friend with the credit card will be ticked off when he gets stuck with most of the really large (surprise!) check.

Great place for happy hour! Excellent drink special on Martinis-the vanilla chocolate and the dragonfly are really good- the edamame is good (but I imagine it would be difficult to mess that up) and the sushi is decent, too. But it's the rock bottom prices that keep me coming back for more...
