Jasper's is pretty much over rated. The food is almost below average; service was poor-after 10pm, they automatically add an 18% gratuity, which may account for our waitress not giving a sh#@ about us. Ambience is nothing special (backgammon tables?!). However, true to the rumors, they have great drinks! I've been told to go for happy hour specials if I want to enjoy Jasper's at all.

If you're looking for a happy hour, no cover charge and entertainment... Jasper's is your place.

Being a barfly has never had such privileges until I met this place. Live jazz or neosoul, no cover, great drinks and bartenders who "keep it coming"

Jasper's welcomes family, but on a Friday night, you wanna be that couple in the booth or that single looking for a hottie. Jasper's is where you'll find it and for a reasonable price with pretty good food.

Service is a little slow at times and some of the waiters might seem like they have the beginning stages of Alzheimers, but you're having so much fun in the atmosphere that you even forget that the waiter forgot you. *smile*

I'd frequent this place any friday night, if only for the happy hour and jazz.

Jasper's would not be my first pick of restaurants. I went when they were not that busy, during the later lunch hour and the service was not very good. If we would request something, it would take the server a really long time to get it to the table. Jasper's also had some odd combinations on their menu. I ordered a club sandwich and it was served on a pretzel, as the bun. It was innovative but not very good. Overall, the food was okay and the service wasn't great. I don't feel the need to rush back.

They need more vegetarian options on the menu.

They even have a little dance floor upstairs, I was told it becomes more club like on weekends after 9pm. It is a lot nicer, and classier than the one's in Greenbelt and Largo. It's definately one of Crofton's best kept secrets -- or maybe just a secret from those of us who didn't know where Crofton was. Good place to hang with the girlfriends while mingling with a laid back but professional crowd.

That coined phrase, "you get what you pay for" really applies here or does it? On Sundays Jasper's offers an all you can eat brunch or you can order off the menu. Nevertheless at some point you have to deal with the waitstaff whether it's to place a drink order,or ask a question regarding the menu (oh by the way they do not offer Momosas or Bubbly with brunch). Clutch the pearls! Hence the waitstaff has absolutely zero hussle, or personality for that matter. I ended up ordering a cocktail from the bar because they haven't any reputable champagne on the menu. Needless to say I could write a worst selling novel on "Jaspers of Greenbelt" or I could hope for a more pleasant dining expirence......someplace else.
