Excellent salsa, the best I've found in the area so far. Chili con carne was good too, with a nice complex flavor, although it clashed a bit with the saltiness of the chips.
Entrees were quite decent, with good value. Service was fairly attentive, even though our waiter was quite busy.
All in all, it's an excellent value, with good food, and a commendable effort to take care of vegetarians.

For the salsa and chip lovers, this is the spot. They offer a new salsa every month. But their classic salsa and chips are some of the best around. Everything else on the menu is very fair and consistent. Except for the one stand out entree...the carnitas soft tacos. They come with this really unusual bbq sauce that is amazing. Its worth the trip.
This is a decent Tex-Mex place if you're looking for a good meal and a beer. Nothing too special, but there's definitely nothing wrong with it either. The sauces are where it's at. They've got a multitude for you to choose from. The nachos are great, and there is a....cinnamon bonita(?) for dessert that is to die for.

I've been to Austin Grill numerous times, in several different locations. This visit wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Our server seemed more interested in hitting on both restaurant staff and customers than waiting on us. Our food wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special and it's been better in the past. I'd go back again, but not anytime soon.

Austin Grill is one of those blah Mexican chains. The brunch is not as good as the dinner, but neither is extraordinary. I recommend going to happy hour and then leaving when the margaritas kick in.

This restaurant is consistent and the staff is generally friendly. I usually take people to this establishment who want a good meal at a reasonable price.

The food at Austin Grill is always good, fresh, and made from quality ingredients. The carnitas, either served as fajitas or tacos, are incredible and their queso is the real authentic stuff! The Bethesda location does need to bring back the happy hour specials for the dining area (like the Wisconsin Ave. location), but overall Austin Grill is a D.C. favorite.
