Bob & Edith's is a true Arlington institution -- a real diner, not some absurd pseudo-diner ripoff. 24-hour breakfast, the food is always fast and good and cheap. It's simple, don't come here looking for Asian fusion, fajitas, or something involving raspberry wine sauces.
I especially enjoy the ham & cheese omelette, and there are always specials. Great liver and onions too, and good fried chicken. Friendly wait staff, an extremely eclectic clientele that varies greatly depending on the hour, because Bob & Edith's is open ALL of the hours. Workday mornings it's the prework crowd, a smattering of yuppies, working class folks, immigrants, and then past midnight the night owls and a rocking jukebox. If you're a smoker, it's still OK at Bob & Ediths -- the sometimes smoky air, especially later in the day, is the only drawback for me.
