This is one of our favorite restaurants in all of DC. The pizzas rival 2Amy's & Paradiso, service is always impeccable, and the gelato is to die for. Best part of the meal is always the bread that comes while you wait - pizza dough? Not sure, but it's delish with just a little bit of tomato sauce baked on, capers and olive oil for dipping. Only wish they were open for brunch.

Enjoyed a nice dinner for two on a weekday evening. We both ordered a medium pizza, a bottle of wine and the peach dessert. The wine was very good, the pizza was okay and the dessert was so-so. At $17 for a pizza, I expected a lot more in terms of taste. The wine was very good, but at $33 a bottle, way overpriced, like the pizza. The peach dessert recommended by the waiter tasted burned. Overall, the ambiance was nice (not loud like seemingly every other DC place), and the service was attentive. The food was just not that great, especially given the price - very bad value.

The space of this place made me feel cozy in an energizing way. I don't remember what wine we had, but it was damn good. The pizza was tasty, with big chunks of eggplant. The bartender was friendly and entertaining, and played along with our jovial mood.

At least it appears clean and the decorating is a very nice "bicycle racing" picture theme. The staff is noisy and , oh yeah, the food is mediocre at best. Don't be fooled by organic by any food seller (check out the FDA website). The pizza was tasteless except for the taste of the cucumbers, which were much more plentiful than the lamb saugage and the other toppings which were so small in generosity that I cannot remember what they were...I definately like cucumbers, but for a pizza I'd like a little more flavor with "them there cucumbers". We passed on the desert (after tasting the cucumber with hidden meat pizza) and had no alcohol. The waiter was very pleasant. We are the type of people who do not complain about the standards a restaurant maintains. We generally do not return. There were reservation cards on several tables, so we assume that they have either gone down hill (used to incredible), people like no flavor with their food, new customers reading old reviews were coming or several apology meals were being comped that evening.

Excellent pizzas that if eaten entirely leave no room for the excellent desserts.
Menu includes seasonal things, like the butternut ravioli and seared butternut squash salad. Autumn in a mouthful.

Organic and yummy! Pair a nice salad with a wood fired pizza and a great dessert. Don't miss the Kostricher (german black beer) on tap!

The blackberry sorbet was decadent-- creamy texture more reminiscent of gelatto than sorbet, infused with the subtle taste of fresh blacKberries and just the right balance of sweetness and tang. My fellow diner soon abandoned his dessert and began fighting me
for mine. The only drawback was the glass it was served in was obviously straight out of the dishwasher and so the sorbet melted quite a bit before it even got to the table. But we still battled to scoop out every last drop. Would it have been wrong of us to pick up the glass and drink it? With a treat this good, I think we would have been excused.

Service was poor. Less than enthusiastic and very slow.
After 15 min, without enquieries about the order we departed the establishement.
The name has changed to Coppi's Organic, so one might believe there is Organic food served, but mostly Pizza's in small Portions.

Coppi's Organic is an Italian restaurant with a good wine selection, good pizza and pasta. A solid restaurant and a much better choice than Utopia.

As a supporter of non-massive chain restaurants and a pizza addict and a romantic, this place was two thumbs up. A friend and I went here after a long day at work for both of us. We had a fabulous waiter who put a smile on my I'm-ready-for-bed face. A quick look at the menu and we both agreed that the shrimp pizza was what we wanted, and there's nothing better to go with shrimp than a great bottle of white whine. At our waiters suggestion we had a bottle of pinot-grigio. The ambiance is cute, dim lights and fully decked out in bicycle theme, with photos and artifacts. At the arrival our pizza the scent and presentation had me devouring it with my nose and eyes. It smelled and looked fantastic. The taste matched the rest of my senses, it was soo yummy. The shrimp tasted as if it were cooked in a light oil mixed with a tangy spicy sauce. If I knew my way around the kitchen this would be something I'd love to make but since I'm blind, there's always Coppi's!

As a cyclist myself, I've always felt at home in Coppi's cycling-themed dining room. Until my last visit, I didn't realize Coppi's was famous among cyclists around the nation for its collection of Italian cycling memorobelia-- the table next to us was tourist who came to see the collection.
A wide selection of pasta, fish and chicken, and pizza complimented by daily specials all use the freshest ingredients, organic most often, and change according to the vegetable selections of the season. The wine list shows a diversity of Italian offerings and often includes a hidden treat- on our last visit, they offered a sparkling red wine, perfect for summer.
Coppi's has become a staple for us, with crisp brick oven pizzas at an affordable price.

In addition to their very good pizzas, Coppi's offers interesting salads made with top-notch ingredients and appetizing flavor combinations. Try the plates with roasted beets or butternut squash. And if you are up for something non-alcoholic and refreshing to drink, try the Italian sodas.

This cozy charmer has been a long-time favorite to those in and around U Street. It's still a wonderful and dependable spot for dinner but the value of the meal has declined proportionately as the neighborhood has changed. The wine list is solid, albeit uninspired, and over-priced.

Great organic food. Always excellent service-with a personality! The pizza's are wonderful. Also nice wine list.
