Great service and wonderful ambiance. The prices were affordable and very fair compared to many of the areas restaurants with similar food.

This is a bang for you buck restaurant. Yes, there maybe better restaurants in the area with regard to ambiance and, to a lesser extent, food, but this place is the best for your money. Good waitstaff, good food, great deal.

Helen Thomas will never stop going there but you can do better at nearby Lebanese Taverna in Woodley Park or places in Adams Morgan. Just mediocre food and atmosphere.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The hummus is to die for, IMO. Their grilled eggplant is spectacular with a bit of a sour taste to it. Every chicken meal I've tried there has been unbelievably juicy and tender and so well seasoned. The simple salads they offer will baffle your mind with their flavors. It is often named as a Cheap Eats, and lives up to that title by far! You get so much bang for your buck here. This place has great eats, great prices, great ambiance, great outdoor seating, etc. You just can't go wrong.

We were pretty psyched that we could get a table for 4 outside, at 8pm on a Saturday, in great weather.

The food here is solid. The mezza large (the appetizer sampler platter) is a nice introduction to what the mama got. The lamb shishkebabs were nice, as was the lamb couscous. Unfortunately, the lentils and rice were quite dry. We had a nice Lebanese white wine that was good value for money.

The service was courteous but a little indifferent. We went long stretches without any attention at all.

What is all the hype about this restaurant? The entrees bordered on bland -- appropriate for the midwest, but immensely disappointing for DC.
