I agree with all the positive things that have been said. This is about as good as pizza gets.

In this rater's humble opinion, Mia's is simply the best pizza place in town - better than Pizzeria Paradiso, better than 2 Amy's, better than Comet. The ingredients are fresh, the crust drizzled with olive oil is incredible, and at a price that doesn't kill the wallet. An affordable wine list (many bottles between $25 and $30) also highlight the menu. Be prepared for a lengthy wait during the winter months when the patio is closed and the available dining space is cut in half. Also, be prepared for a bit of a wait, as each pizza is cooked to order and the pizza oven does not have the largest capacity - crowded restaurant = many pizzas in oven = long wait for food. Fortunately, service is very attentive to top off your drinks while you wait. And the food is well worth the wait.

I've eaten here many times with my two young children. The pizza is above average, but not excellent. Desserts aren't very good. What I like most are the good wines by the glass, the service (very friendly), and the green salad. It's a very good place to take your family on a weeknight, though I wouldn't choose it for a grown-up dinner.

I've eaten lunch at Mia's several times and it's always been hit or miss. When a friend said that they really wanted to try it I decided dinner might be better than the lunches. It wasn't. Service was slow and they were out of a few items. My food had little taste to it. Cupcake was frozen - not the first time that I've encountered that. Overall, I don't understand why people keep saying that this is a great restaurant - the food is pretty poor, it's expensive for what it is and the service is typically not great. I should have trusted my gut and said let's try someplace else the foods not so great.

The pizzas are delicious -- nice crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and a good selection of toppings. Highly recommend.

After hungrily walking up and down the Bethesda streets in search of food, my friend and I followed our noses to Mia's Pizza. We could smell the warm, wood-burning ovens from down the street and we were happy to find out there was outdoor seating on such a beautiful day. We were sat almost immediately at a table of our choice. After browsing their selection of beers, I decided to go with a Magic Hat, a wheat beer I had not tried before. It came promptly with a very tall beer glass and bottle. Very nice! My friend ordered a garden salad which was very fresh and with large-cut vegetables. The pizza selections looked amazing! Just reading the toppings, they so creatively put together, made my mouth water. We decided on the Vegetale pizza which came with red onions, large mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes (we nixed the black olives). The pizza was a little thin but the dough was very enjoyable. The service was wonderful and our waitress was very attentive. We saw several children enjoying pizza and clever little cupcakes. This was a very family-friendly, casual environment which I would frequent again.

Great berry lemonade. Very good pizza. Good crust and toppings. Pizza was a little pricey for size. Next time I'll bring the kids. It's perfect for them esp. with the cupcake choices.
