Drawing on the same raw physicality that makes Annie Leibovitz’s Olympian portraits irresistible, Scottish filmmakers Adrian McDowall and Finlay Pretsell uncover a hero as inspiring as William Wallace. Still, had Mel Gibson been as cut as McFayden, Braveheart would have ended differently.
