The Making of "Sara (I Wanna Live Off Ya)"

The Lyrics

Jason's Draft
Mike's Rewrite

This is what happens when a writer (Jason Cherkis) working for a bankrupt altweekly gets together with a D.C. folk artist (Mingering Mike) and a former arts editor (Glenn Dixon) to write a love song. The guitar parts, the keyboard, and, sadly, the vocals are real. The rest comes courtesy of GarageBand, Glenn's idea for the hook, and Mike's imagination. We’ve condensed eight hours into five minutes. You can thank us later.

I knew Jason could do it, an article without four letter words. Mingering Mike must be very proud of this article, hometown paper and all that stuff. Where does Jason go next?
