“Stumble”

A few of the things we're listening to this week, in no particular order

“Stumble”

Emily

Esurient Communications

As label mottoes go, “Esurient for Change” ain't exactly “The Sound of Young America.” But man, could Kevin Pearce's Bexleyheath-based indie back it up. The flowing, free-jazzy “Stumble,” for example, stretches jangle pop nearly to its breaking point and then reels it in again—Astral Weeks in four minutes instead of 47. —Leonard Roberge
