Space Moderne

Influenced by her Polynesian and Scandinavian heritage, Momi Antonio-Barnes graphically illustrates her own prints, patterns and colors and combines them into a fluid line of home goods and accessories. She creatively juxtaposes Polynesian flora and fauna patterns with traditional Scandinavian colors and works with easily recognized ethnic symbols of hospitality and heritage from Pineapples to the Swedish Dala Horse. Working with natural fibers like wool fabric felt, linen and cotton, she embroiders, hand prints and appliques an array of mid-century modern-like designs in her home studio. Affordable pricing ranges from $6 wool applique ornaments to $45 sets of linen placemats.
