When I was a child, my favorite thing was opening a new box of crayons ' 64 glorious colors hidden in a little box. I loved the limitless variations that were possible. Color, especially in specific combinations, would affect how I felt about my world and myself. In my work I take simple shapes and interesting color combinations and re-create those feelings of happiness and possibility. I hear from people who have purchased pieces that they are frequently approached and complimented on them.
