Folktale Fibers

I make handspun yarn from sustainable fibers, including: local wool, recycled fibers, and plant fibers like organic cotton and hemp. I spin a wide variety of styles, from traditional 2-ply to 'art' and novelty yarns. The majority of my animal fibers come from small local farms and I wash, card, and dye them myself with low impact dyes. I run a small (4.5 acre) farm/homestead of my own with a herd of pygora goats that produce a luxurious and somewhat rare fiber. Besides yarn, I also create felted objects, the occasional knit item, handdyed fibers, and handcarded batts.
