Metal-Musings

Sue Derge upcycles found, damaged or unwanted tins into one-of-a kind or limited number jewelry items. She is challenged by the patterns, pictures and words found on printed tin to make unique, handbuilt jewelry. Don't be suprised to find bits of records, formica, and other found materials in these creations.

In addition, Sue uses stamping, etching and forging techniques on sheet metal to create her own textures which are incorporated into original jewelry designs.

Sue is supported in her creative efforts by her family: her husband and son built her workbench and her daughter provides inspiration.
