Seeing in Fabric

What, at first, appear to be paintings, are actually sewn fabric art wall hangings. Using only recycled fabrics from scraps, remnants and re-purposed clothing, the self-taught artist creates vibrant and surreal urban landscapes. With over 200 colors of thread, and a 1968 Singer sewing machine, she creates stitches that mimic blending, shading and drawing effects. All her work is handmade, no part of the process is digital or automated. Finished artwork is sold stretched over canvas or in matboard frames. Sizes range from 4x4 to 24x36. She also sells reproduction prints and postcard prints of her work.
