Official Contest Rules

INTRODUCTION: The Washington City Paper’s Who’s the Craftiest Bastard? contest (the "Contest") gives pre-selected participants the opportunity to compete for the craftiest vendor for the 2008 Crafty Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair.

Eligible participants were selected from the Washington City Paper Crafty Bastards 2008 participating vendors.

All finalist entrants have been pre-selected by City Paper to compete to be the craftiest bastard. Contest participants were chosen based on:

• Creativity of Product
• Originality of Product
• Use of Materials
• Construction of Product

City Paper readers will vote online for ten pre-selected entrants to elect the most creative and original vendor.

Voting will take place from Wednesday, September 10, 2008 @ 10:00 am – Wednesday, October 1, 2008.

The grand prize winner will receive the most votes online combined with the voting tallies from Crafty Bastards event attendees. The winner will receive:

• One Urban Outfitters Gift Certificate (Valued at $250)
• $100 Gift Certificate to Café Trope (Valued at $100)
• One City Paper ½ Page Color Ad to advertise their product(s) (Valued at $1,592)

There is a limit of one entry per eligible participant.

City Paper employees are not eligible for contest.

The prize is not redeemable in cash and must be accepted as awarded.

Public Voting will be held Thursday, September 4, 2008 @ 10:00 am – Wednesday, October 1, 2008.

Voting will be held online at washingtoncitypaper.com as well as onsite at The 2008 Crafty Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair on September 28, 2008.

The grand prize winner will be notified on Friday, October 3, 2008.
