Legend has it that the snallygaster, a ferocious winged beast, used to terrorize the Blue Ridge Mountains. Half-reptile and half-bird, with a dash of octopus, the snallygaster sucked its victims blood and made a sound like a steam locomotive. Neighborhood Restaurant Group beer director Greg Engert wants to drink to the monster's memory.
