Avoid your local grocery store (yes, it already looks like a war zone) and venture out into the snow over the next few days for plenty of restaurant and bar deals. The pop-up snow bar—now Star Wars themed!—will be back Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday with hot cocktails ($12) and “hot chewbacculate” ($5). There will also be a costume contest with the chance to win a two-night stay at The Dupont Circle Hotel or a $75 gift certificate to Cafe Dupont. The winner will be announced Saturday at 5 p.m.

Anyone who makes it out to the bar Saturday will be rewarded with free soup and spiced hot chocolate.

Cajun turkey chili is $3 for a cup or $5 for a bowl plus beers are $3 all day on Saturday and Sunday.
The Black Squirrel

The “#Snowmageddon2016” special offerings include grilled cheese, ginger hot toddies, and spiked hot cocoa. Open all weekend from noon Friday, 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. If the government closes Monday, The Black Squirrel will open at 11 a.m.
Brick and Mortar

Open 1 p.m. on Saturday for $10 hot toddies plus hot chocolate with chartreuse. If you want to ignore the cold and pretend it’s summer instead, grab an $11 tiki drink. Bottomless chili will also be available for $13.
Brookland’s Finest Bar & Kitchen

Start your weekend as early as Thursday at 5 p.m. with warm apple cider with apple-infused Jameson ($12), spiked hot chocolate ($12), or a draft pineapple-infused vodka cocktail ($12). From the kitchen, there will be beer-braised brats using Denizens Big Red Norm served on pretzel buns with spicy chow-chow relish ($14).
