Bryan Voltaggio’s fast-casual restaurant Lunchbox closed in Frederick, Md., late last year, but today, a revamped version reopens in the District.

Located in the Chevy Chase Pavilion near Range and Aggio, the lunch and dinner spot features sandwiches, salads, soups, and sides. Among Voltaggio’s creations is the Fileo-Fish sandwich with catfish, tartar sauce, coleslaw, and cheddar on a potato roll; the Supreme pizza soup made of wood-fried tomato and red bell pepper served with focaccia croutons and pepperoni; and Ma’s Meatloaf made with pineapple ketchup, red onion marmalade, blue cheese, and a chive biscuit. Sandwiches range from $7 to $12, salads are $10 to $13, and soups are $4 to $5. Lunchbox will also serve a variety of housemade sodas plus tea. Beer and wine are coming soon.

The restaurant is decked out in pulleys that came from an old Hershey’s factory, as well as plants hanging in metal buckets. The place is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
