R&R Taqueria Chef Will Oversee Menu of New Mexican Restaurant in Dupont

missionA casual Mexican restaurant called Mission is set to replace One Lounge in Dupont Circle in the next two to three weeks.  Rodrigo Albarran, who owns the two locations of Maryland-based R&R Taqueria, will be executive chef, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page. R&R Taqueria is regularly named among the area's best cheap eats.

The restaurant comes from Reed Landry and Fritz Brogan, who own George and Mason Inn in Georgetown. Landry tells Y&H he’s holding off on sharing details for now, but the restaurant’s Facebook page says the place will feature “authentic Mexican cuisine and a lively bar scene in a two level space with an exposed brick interior and Dupont’s larges outdoor patio."

Stay tuned for more details.
