Philadelphia’s City Tap House Will Replace 901 Restaurant
The D.C. restaurant will be very similar to its Philly counterpart with "elevated" American pub fare, including brick oven pizzas. But the main attraction will be 60 rotating craft beers on tap plus an extensive beer bottle list.
Director of Marketing Mary-Catherine Corson says City Tap House will have a "sophisticated rustic feel." The Philadelphia location is outfitted with copper top bars, exposed brick, and large wooden beams.
Philadelphia restaurateurs seem to love D.C. right now: Following in the footsteps of Stephen Starr's Le Diplomate, Jose Garces is opening an Argentinian steakhouse here. And according to Eater, the team behind Federal Donuts and Top Chef alum Kevin Sbraga are also looking for D.C. locations.
