No longer do you have to track down Far East Taco Grille‘s food trucks for your Korean taco fix. Owner Alex Cho has at last opened a grab-and-go spot on 15th Street NE between D and E streets.

The storefront expands the offerings available from the burrito and taco trucks. In addition to steak, chicken, pork, and tofu taco, burrito, and bowl fillings, there will occasionally be shrimp and fish as well as a wider variety of sauces and salsas. Sliders and quesadillas are also on the menu. Nothing costs more than $10.

Graffiti art from Cho’s friend Albert Kim spans the walls with images of the food truck and other city scenes. There’s no seating for now, just a stand-up counter, but Cho says he may add a couple chairs.

Far East Taco Grille is open weekdays only from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. but is closed for a short window between 4 and 5 p.m. Cho plans to expand to Saturday hours eventually.
