BonChon Chicken Now Open in Arlington
If you're still making you're way through Washington City Paper's 50 must-try dishes, now you can knock BonChon Chicken's wings and drumsticks off the list without a trip to Rockville or Fairfax.
The Korean fried chicken destination opened yesterday at the Shops at Pershing (near Clarendon) in Arlington. Expect a menu that's similar the international chain's other locations. There are a variety of Korean entrees, appetizers, and salads, but it's really all about the double-fried wings, drumsticks, and strips hand-brushed in soy garlic or hot sauce.
The 85-seat space is divided into a main dining room with a few nooks, a large bar area with communal high top tables, and a take-out counter. The minimalist, Asian-inspired decor comprised of dark woods, steel, concrete, and red accents was created by Grizform Design Architects, who are also responsible for the looks of Farmers Fishers Bakers, Fiola, and Estadio.
