Wine Bar Called Flight Coming to Chinatown

A restaurant and wine bar called Flight is opening at 777 6th St. NW, according to a liquor license application for the place.

The owners, a husband-wife team, wouldn't give Y&H their names and declined to share much info about their venture, which is in the very early stages. The liquor application says the restaurant will serve brunch, lunch, and dinner with food prepared with fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. They're shooting for a September opening.

I love how that block is become the classy part of Chinatown (Graffiato, Daikaya). Unlike the main drag, with Hooters, Fuddruckers, et al.

Nice scoop! Well done! Sounds like more good development for the downtown neighborhood.

Great to see another entry onto that block of 6th Street. Though it's amazing to see just how many places can open before Townhouse Kitchen & Bar does any work on their space across the street, which they apparently signed a lease on 15 months ago.
