Mouth Off: One Foodie Question, Five Foodie Answers
If Santa stopped to eat and drink in D.C., where would he go?

“I think he would stop at Boundary Stone Public House. Not only do they serve some great beer, but the boys who run the place are quite full of holiday cheer. There is a special holiday eggnog on the menu in case Santa has had his fill of brew, and the sweet potato pies always come in bunches of two.”

“He would stop at Toki Underground. They have fantastic miso chocolate chip cookies and milk. From what I understand, Santa digs cookies and milk.”
Chef/owner, Bayou Bakery
“Santa gets enough cookies and milk on his journey around the world, so after taking a peek in the White House, I would send him down the block to the iconic Old Ebbitt Grill for a change of pace—a dozen raw oysters and a chilled beer.
Chef/owner, The BBQ Joint in Easton, Md.
“Santa is probably up to his eyeballs in peppermint, so I would suggest he stick to some of the classics and pull up a stool at the counter of Burger, Tap & Shake for the BTS Milkshake. Sucking up creamy homemade vanilla ice cream whipped in with chunks of the timeless American candies of Butterfinger, Twix, and Snickers is the perfect evening pit stop. Santa surely doesn’t worry about the calories!”
“I am thinking that Santa would stop by Poste Moderne Brasserie for one of their bacon hot chocolate cocktails and then go across the street to Jaleo to get a mini hamburguesa with Ibérico de Bellota bacon on top. I in no way condone drinking and flying sleighs.”
