ah doughnuts...the new cupcakes. complete with obligatory massive price hike (come now, $2.85 for a single doughnut?), the equally obligatory bacon flavour, and the cache' that comes from a new gourmet chain rather than huddling with the hoi polloi masses at dunkin'.

It would have been great to try these, but according to the clerks at Chinatown Coffee, the line outside the store was 30 people deep at opening and the doughnuts that were expected to last all day sold out in an hour. First responder foodie culture is annoying.
