3 Stars’ Growler Hours Are Nearly Here

D.C.'s newest brewery, 3 Stars Brewing Company, officially opens its doors to the public tomorrow.

Every Saturday from 1-6 p.m., stop by for tastings and tours of its Takoma facility. Growler fill-ups will also be available for the brewery's three signature beers: Urban Farmhouse (a Belgian-style saison), Southern Belle (an imperial brown ale with toasted pecans), and Pandemic Porter (an American imperial porter). Growlers are $5 and fill-ups are $15 for the Urban Farmhouse and $20 for the Southern Belle and Pandemic Porter.

Ward 4 Councilmember Muriel Bowser will preside over a ribbon cutting ceremony at 12:45 p.m. tomorrow. The PORC food truck will also be on site for all your barbecue needs.

If you're into home-brewing, 3 Stars has a shop for supplies too.

  • Ha!

$20 for growler fills?!?!?!? Wow. Just wow.

  • Big Ant

$20 for growler fills pretty pricy DC Brau only charges $10

Yeah, that is ridiculous- and they aren't even in DC!

I tried the farmhouse and southern belle at Churchkey and would never pay that much for them. They need to get it together if they want to stay in business.

DC Brau is also gross and incredibly overrated.
