Get Your Peach Tarragon Gelato at Pop-Up Gelateria
Dolci Gelati is hosting a pop-up gelateria from 3 to 8 p.m. today through Friday in the storefront of LivingSocial's event space at 918 F St. NW.
The man behind the gelato is former Italian water polo champion turned pastry chef Gianluigi Dellaccio, who previously worked at Roberto Donna's now-shuttered Galileo restaurant and the Ritz Carlton. You may already know the gelato maker for his carts at Nationals Stadium and pints at Taylor Gourmet, Dean and Deluca, and Whole Foods.
Rotating flavors will include kettle corn, peach tarragon, raspberry lemonade, and chocolate mint. You can also tweet flavor requests to @DolciGelati with the hashtag #918FST or post requests on Facebook.
Living Social will host other frozen treat companies each week throughout the month as part of its "Frozen Treat Month," so stay tuned.
