What To Eat Tonight: ‘Peace In The Middle East,’ A Brisket-Falafel Sandwich, at Fruit Bat

Achieving true peace in the Middle East may seem hard to imagine. For now, we can at least enjoy its culinary equivalent. I'm referring, of course, to the "Peace In The Middle East" sandwiches that Pound The Hill's Kahlil Ghannam will be in the kitchen making tonight on special at Fruit Bat.  Blending brisket and falafel with tater tots and American cheese, this tantalizing form of bready diplomacy will certainly not cure all the world's ills. But it may solve your late night hunger. The featured sammy is available from 8 p.m. until midnight.

Coming up: Tickets go on sale today for Savor, the fifth-annual beer and food pairing event, featuring craft beers from 74 small and independent craft brewers across the country. The two-day festivities begin June 8 at the National Building Museum. Tickets are $120. Get yours here.

And, of course, there are all sorts of Passover and Easter to be had around town, including $25 all-you-can-eat dim sum at Ping Pong Dim Sum on Sunday.
