Saturday marks the return of Red Apron Butchery‘s gourmet hot dog cart Frank at local brewer DC Brau’s regular growler hours. From 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., you can fill your screw-top or flip-top growler and grab one of esteemed butcher Nate Anda‘s hand-made dogs. Choose from a spicy Italian sausage with roasted shallot marmalade, a black truffle dog with wild mushroom ragout, a kielbasa with bacon-braised sauerkraut and hot mustard and the “Vietfranc,” a heavily spiced “atomic” dog topped with ginger, lime aioli and viet-slaw. Bacon bangers will be on special—-“and yes,” Anda reports via Twitter, “mash will be involved.”

Elsewhere, naturally, there’s a whole lot of corned beef and cabbage—-oh, and beer—-going on for St. Patrick’s Day. Specials available at Bayou Bakery, Cafe Dupont, Capital City Brewery, ChurchKey, and Poste, among other places.

Coming up: on Monday, Pizzeria Paradiso celebrates Elysian beer while Estadio features Canary Island wines. And, on Tuesday, Virtue fetes New Belgium brews.
