Mark Kuller’s New 14th Street Eatery Is Actually Happening

Last June, Y&H colleague Lydia DePillis reported on a couple of restaurant deals happening at JBG's District Condos, including a new project by Proof and Estadio owner Mark Kuller. At the time, Kuller's rep downplayed the report. But now, it seems, the deal is confirmed. Prince of Petworth took note of a new liquor license application at the condo building at 14th and S Streets NW, proposing a 185-seat new restaurant with "upscale Southeast Asian cuisine." And Washingtonian critic Todd Kliman has tweeted some details, including the participation of Team Kuller aces such as chef Haidar Karoum and mixologist Adam Bernbach, as well as a projected opening date of late fall/early winter.

Estadio sucks...another amateur in the restaurant business catering to the crowd that doesn't know any better...if its expensive and noisy it must be good...yeah right!
