This Week in Beer: Rare Scandinavian Suds at ChurchKey, 3 Stars Keg Blowout at Pizzeria Paradiso & Real Ale Fest at DuClaw
It's a modest week for organized beer fun, with several happy hours and a beer dinner tonight, as well as a handful of events this Saturday. In addition to my pick of the week below, look for good stuff at Brasserie Beck, Pizzeria Paradiso, Jack Rose and DuClaw Brewing Company in Bel Air, Md. For more details these and more, click on any event in my D.C. Beer Events Calendar above.
LAGERHEADS PICK: On Saturday, ChurchKey will host an afternoon of jazz and craft beer to benefit a music education program. Since 2006, North Coast Brewing Company of California has supported the Thelonius Monk Institute of Jazz, a nonprofit organization that offers free public school-based jazz education programs for young people around the world. Saturday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m. enjoy live jazz and a host of beers from the North Coast portfolio including Grand Cru, an ale brewed with agave nectar and aged in oak barrels.
