Pajama Party! Virtue Invites You To Come Eat In Your Sleepwear

"I'll have the 'Shaggers Pie,' please."

“I promised myself that one day when I owned a restaurant I would let everyone come in their pajamas,” says restaurateur Meshelle Armstrong. And so she has. This coming Sunday, Sept. 4, Armstrong's Virtue Feed & Grain in Alexandria is hosting a pajama-themed brunch where patrons are encouraged to show up in their sleepwear for a 10-percent discount off their meals. The lazy diner who shows up in the most "outrageous" style of peejays will win a prize.

Pajama Brunch Debuts at Virtue Feed & Grain

Everyone knows that Sundays are lazy days.

After many years of working late into the night on busy Saturday evenings as a restaurant manager, Meshelle Armstrong (co-owner of Restaurant Eve, The Majestic, PX, Eamonn’s A Dublin Chipper and Virtue Feed & Grain) hated nothing more than getting up just hours later to go back to work and prepare for brunch.  “I promised myself that one day when I owned a restaurant I would let everyone come in their pajamas!”

Luckily with the launch of brunch at Virtue Feed & Grain, Armstrong’s wish is about to come true.  On Sunday, September 4th, Pajama Brunch debuts, and will continue for the first Sunday of each month.  Guests (and even staff) are  encouraged to sleep in, roll out of bed and head straight to Virtue Feed & Grain to enjoy brunch in their favorite pajamas.   Those who do will receive 10% off their bill.  There will even be a prize for the most “outrageous” pajamas.

Virtue Feed and Grain is the latest culinary endeavor from Chef Cathal Armstrong and his business partner/wife Meshelle.  Specializing in modern American “pub grub,” Virtue is the ideal spot for a relaxing Sunday brunch.  Chef Ryan Wheeler compiled a menu based on all time brunch favorites, including Corned Beef Hash with poached egg, French Toast with bacon and even the traditional Irish Breakfast, a nod to Chef Armstrong’s upbringing in Dublin.

Priced at $23 per person, prix fixe brunch includes coffee & juice, your main course, and the “morning spread: assorted pastries, organic yogurt with various fruit fillings, assorted cereals, fruit salad, cured meets, cheese, smoked salmon,, fresh bread and other goodies – the perfect way to get your appetite going.
