ChurchKey Goes Stone Wild: Total Tap Takeover This Monday

Rain got you down? Well, here's something to look forward to. This Monday, October 4, ChurchKey will turn over 40 of its 50 taps to the beers of Stone Brewing Company. Not only will you get to hang with Stone CEO Greg Koch (recently knighted by the Belgian Brewers Guild, joining several of our local DC beer celebs who've already received the honor) and Stone's local rep Lee Marren, you'll also have access to what can only be described as the most insanely awesome collection of Stone beers ever assembled.

Only seven beer bars in cities across the country have been selected for the weeklong Stone Total Tap Tower Takeover Tour, which means D.C. and ChurchKey are pretty lucky to be hosting Greg and his dowry of collaboration beers and nearly impossible-to-find vintages dating back to 2003. The party starts at 4:00pm and is first come first serve, so plan to take off from work early and stay late. You can order full pours or 4 oz. samples of each beer until the taps run dry. A complete list of featured beers after the jump...

so how does one sign up for this event and is it a flat fee for tastings or do we have to order 50 different full-sized beers to get the full experience?

i think i might very well just order 50 full sized beers for fun!

The only charge we're aware of is if you'd like to attend the VIP / early session which includes a meet & greet with Stone Brewing Co. owner Greg Koch. The meet and greet starts at 3:30. Cost for this session is $15, and also includes a special t-shirt.

Hrmnn... not as interesting as my plan. Looks like I am going to have to get ready for 50 beers...

Thanks for the response BTW :)

Um, are you sure you don't have to pay for the beer? There is something on there website about tokens? You guys are reporters, right?
