Daura is the first of its kind, a beer made with barley (and thus, gluten) that is safe for people with celiac disease. The company won’t say how, but they get the gluten levels down to 6 parts per million, well below the recommended limit of 20 ppm. Seeing you can count the number of gluten-free beer brands on one hand, the fact that this vaguely tastes like “real” beer is a ray of hope for celiac sippers.
Light Weight:
Daura tastes like an ordinary European lager, with the light palate and mild skunkiness you’d find Stella Artois, Tuborg, Carlsberg, and all the other beers they give you on trans-Atlantic flights. That might be unappealing for able-bodied drinkers, but it’s not hard to imagine myself shelling out $2.50 a bottle were I stranded in the desert that is the gluten-free beer aisle. Gluten-sensitive drinkers, my thoughts are with you; may someone invent a cheap, tasty beer for you soon.

My wife is a celiac baseball fan. Being able to get Redbridge at the ballpark is a revelation for her. While it's not a beer dinkers beer, it's good enough to guzzle with peanuts and pulled pork.

Yes! So glad it's true. In Spain, the GF/Celiac awareness is amazing. I lived there doing gluten-free culinary research. We always had this in stock. Good stuff. Can't wait for it to come to the Cincy area! My favorite US GF beer is Bard's.
